Hi Sun Managers:
I have a couple questions:
1.- I have a SPARCclassic with Solaris 2.3 installed, and when I try to run it a me I get the next message:
mknod: Permission denied
however, if I run it as root I have no problems. I have checked the permissions and they are as next:
in /usr/sbin
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin 4040 Sep 27 1993 mknod
in /etc
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root 17 Jan 4 16:25 mknod -> ../usr/sbin/mknod
What can I do to make it to run.
2.- The rest of the network is running SunOS 4.1.3_U1. My server is a SPARCclassic and some of my client workstations are SPARCstation 5. There is a problem with /dev/audio in this release of OS that makes impossible to run audio on SPARCstation 5's. I have installed the patch in a Standalone and it runs OK, but when I try to install the patch in the Dataless I get messages indicating that I can not modify the Kernel, because it resides on other workstation.
What can I do on this ?

P.S. I have not sent the Summary about the question I asked on TeX, but I had a lot of problems and I could not install it. I will make another attempt on next april (when I have a little break) and any result I get I will communicate it to you.

I have solved the problem installing patch 101514-02. However the audio problem could not be solved. May be next time.
