You might try setting the boot device in the EEPROM.

As far as I know, NO!!! I have a similar problem, with one of my RAID
disk systems.

I've complained about this to the SCSI lead engineer at Sun, and he was
kind enough to file (or prioritize) a "bug report" about it. It might be
changed in Solaris2.5, which is supposed to be out in the summer of '95.
