Quick question for all the Sun gurus out there.

All the hardware support matricies that I have come to read inform me that
the X453A ethernet controller is not supported on the SPARC10, 20, 1000 and 2000

I can possibly understand the 1000 and 2000 but it is supported on the SPARC 5,
but not supported on the SPARC 20.

My question is; can anyone verify this and also has anyone ever tried using it
anyway? Maybe its not officially supported and may tout network problems but
will it still work or not?

Summary:

A bunch of quick responses came in to verify that the X453A definetely not
supported on M-bus systems. Since the Classic and SPARC 5 are not M-bus the
card is supported. The reason has to do with the buffered ethernet has an on
board buffer cache that protects it from overruns caused by blocked ram access.
The regular ether controller does not.
