Hello,

A couple days ago I posted here for help and today it came through.
Below is the mail message that allowed me to configure my Solaris 2.3
sendmail.cf file to include domain information.

Thanks you Chris!

Hi,

First of all - I'm afraid I've not got a great deal of experience with
sendmail, so I can't promise a great deal of help, however, what I can pass on
I will.... I'm in the process of setting up Sol 2.3 on a SS20, and I've
copied over a default sendmail.cf from another system. With regard to the domain
name, we've made the following change..

# MODIFIED BY MJM 10/1/94 for v2.3 - added ".$m" to every occurrence of $k
# otherwise domain name not appended to outgoing mail.
#

#################################################

..skipping
### above line replaces this line (to add full domain name to hostname)
### R$=D $@$1 <@$w> tack on my hostname
R$+ $@$1<@$k.$m> tack on my mbox hostname
S21
R$*<@$+>$* $@$1<@$2>$3 already ok
R$+ $@$1<@$k.$m> tack on my mbox hostname

..skipping
# Ruleset 33 is used in remote mode only
S33
R$+<@$=w.LOCAL> $1
R$+<@$=w> $1
R$*<@$+>$* $#ether $@$k.$m $:$1<@$2>$3 forward to $k
R$+ $#local $:$1 local names

I hope this helps
