In my original question I asked for any information for/against multiple
processors for running SAS since SAS was not multi-threaded.
The overwhelming conclusion was that even though SAS is not multi
threaded a second processor would help.
I found one problem -- SAS tends to license its product for a specific
machine. A single processor machine like my SS20 will cost say X amount to
license per year. A 2 processor machine will cost approx 4 times whatever X
would be. Oh, well that's the breaks :-(
