My original question
--Sorry if this is inapprpriate but I'm under pressure to get this package to work.
I've got this openwin application that keeps giving me a ld:so error
ld.so: open error 2 for /usr/compat/lib/libc.so.1.8
I'm running Solaris 1.1.1b and openwin 2.01d. I've tried reinstalling openwin as a last ditch attempt but that still give me this error.
I don't have any manuals for Solaris 1.1.1b, except for the installation Manual that camer in the solaris box. However we do have a complete set of SunOS4.1.1 manuals which are similart to solaris. I've tried looking up open and can't seem to find an error 2. If someone can shed some light on this and possibly point me in the direction of a solution. I will be greatly appreciative. --
It truns out I was missing a file and it was not included with the Solaris 1.1.1b distribution CD. The file was /usr/lib/libc.so.1.8 which was linked to the file stated above.
