On Friday, 26 Nov. 1993, I asked:

Thanks to the three people who answered. Two of them, Simon Poole
<poole@eunet.ch>, and Randy Taylor <rtaylor@ait.nrl.navy.mil>, quickly
identified the problem, Lifeline mail can not handle multiline
greetings, which are a standard feature of SMTP (RFC 821), and are
produced by sendmail 8.6.4 but not by Sun's archaic sendmail based on
version 5.6. Richard Elling <Richard.Elling@Eng.Auburn.EDU> also
provided the solution, which is apparently also needed with the the
newest DOS mail product from Sun called Selectmail. I called Sun,
Monday, and spoke to an "engineer" who didn't seem to completely
understand the problem, and he apparently still hasn't figured it out.

> Note: next you will notice a 30 second delay for the delivery. This is

> Good luck.
