Summary: how many swap partitions do work?

Ok, I'll summarize to the net, superseding my own question to stop the answers
flowing in...

Apparently, up to
- 4 local swap partitions under SunOS 4.1.3. and
- 3 local swap partitions under SunOS 4.1.1

where observed to work w/o problem. The problem I remember to have read about
in this newsgroup probably apperas only with network mounts of swap areas, or
mixed network/local swap areas.

I'll check myself, and report here if it doesn't work :-)

Regards,
