        * Xdm doesn't come with a built-in screensaver
        * screenblank works ok on both solaris 1 and solaris 2, but
          seems to take an awful long time sometimes to blank the
          screen under solaris 2. perhaps because it is in binary
          compatibility mode?

A while ago I asked:

Everybody confused xdm (an x display manager that handles logging a
user into the system) with the actual users' openwindows sessions. [or
perhaps i didn't understand the answers] Thus, the only summary I have
at this point is what i have since discovered, to the best of my
knowledge. That is:

        * Xdm doesn't come with a built-in screensaver

        * screenblank works ok on both solaris 1 and solaris 2, but
          seems to take an awful long time sometimes to blank the
          screen under solaris 2. perhaps because it is in binary
          compatibility mode?
