Thanks to all who replied. I was overwhelmed with reponses.
You guys are great, solved my problem overnight.

I have included below the reply from Jeffrey Marans, which I have tried and
worked like a charm, for my case. Thanks, Jeffrey.

One user wrote to the net saying:
"The CDROM you are trying to mount may be a Unix (type 4.2) CD, and not an
ISO-9960 (hsfs) type. Most Sun CDROMs are like this. I have the following
two lines in all my /etc/fstab's for this reason;

/dev/sr0 /cdrom hsfs ro,noauto,usermount_access 0 0
/dev/sr0 /cd 4.2 ro,noauto,usermount_access 0 0

That way I can try
 # mount /cdrom
and if I get an error,
 # mount /cd"

With that done you should note that Island Graphics recommends that on the host
machine

 mount /cdrom
include client's name in /.rhosts and /etc/exports files
 exportfs -i -o ro /cdrom

on the other machine type
 mount erie:/cdrom /cdrom

If any of you want all the replies from all who responded to me, please let
me know and I will compile them and mail them to you.

Thanks to the people listed below:

szh@zcon.com (Syed Zaeem Hosain) who sent me tar file with routines for
mount,export,unexport,umount,eject... Haven't try them out yet but looks
like a great tool for System Admin.
