They are NOT. Sun switches off certain features that don't work well on
the early 4/60 boards (e.g. sync SCSI). If you put in a 4/65 PROM,
you defaeat that mechanism.

The answer is no.

It may seem to work, but you may have some problems i.e. disk are
running asyncron only.

Never ... the ID PROM includes the fact that it IS a 4/60 (or 4/65).
And the kernel uses that FACT to do a variety of things ... like set up
the MMU ...

 ID PROMs and NVRAMs are not interchangeable between different CPU board
types. Bad news travels fast, hope this helps.

No they are not compatibles.

Well It looks like the answer is NO! A couple of responses said that
it WAS possible but you might get some error messages..
