So lets see:

Keeping 4.1.3 online VS Installing Solaris 2.2 hmmm..

Installing 2.2

Disadvantages:

  - time spent fixing what isn't broken (too badly)
  - have to go find gnu c for solaris 2 so I can then
  - recompile the pd sw I use now..
  - spend an extra $1200.oo US per machine so that our
      sparc1 users can still sign on to faster machines
  - none of the current commercial apps we use will run
  - my admin knowledge will be annoyingly out of date

Advantages:

  - uh..
  - Oh yeah, I get to run those solid Windows apps on
    my Sparc..

Well, it seems like it will be a cold day in hell to me...
