Thank You, Sun-Managers!

As usually, a lot of good answers.

I haven't yet had time to test any solution, but it looks pretty
promising. Here follows a (short) summary of the answers:

(1) Sun MS HSI card with SUNLINK X25 (this will even allow
me to run IP over the hdlc).

(2) Mesa Ridge Tech. _will_ have a 4 port sync board (PPP/SLIP at
    128Kbps) available in July 1993.

(3) Central Data of Champaign Illinois has a SCSI based high speed
serial port (but only at 57Kbps, apparently). May or may not
    have Solaris 2.x version.

(4) Brixton Systems has hw/sw that works on Solaris 2.x, while Sun
MS apparently have not been able to port their HSI card/sw(?).
Brixton also have a PPP software with drivers for ttya/ttyb
[I seriously doubt that will provide fast enough speed?].

(5) Run X25, at least until PPP is available.

(6) Aurora Technologies have products (hw/sw) which look promising
[one representative of theirs sent me several pages of data
    sheets].

If anyone is interested in more details, I'll gladly mail you the
complete answers (I realize that the summary above is somewhat terse
but I didn't want to polute the net with uninteresting info).

Thanks again (you know who you are!),
