Dear Sun Managers!

On 20th of April I inquired about CAD software.

The overwhelming response was Autocad - 9 out of 10 are using it.

A few other mentioned ProEngeneer from Parametrics and ISICAD.

The U. S. Army Ballistic Research Laboratory (BRL) has a free CAD
package. It is availible from .

Are you working with a CAD program for mechanical engineering? We are
interested in a simple CAD software. It should be able to:
                -) edit 2d-drawings
                -) uses the metric system
                -) automatic dimension object
-) produces output for HP-plotters (HPGL)
-) uses the graphic accelators from sun
                -) run under OpenWin 3.0
It would be nice if it can produces files for autocad.
        It need not have to
-) produces control output for NC-machines (drilling stations,
                        leith, ..)
-) be able to edit 3d-objects
If you have any experiences or recommendations that you would like to
share, I would be glad to hear from you. And I will summaries.
