SUMMARY printing on SPARCprinter crashes machine

Sorry this took a while....

The problem was that printing to a SPARCprinter running
NeWSPrint 1.2 and OW 3.0 (OS 4.1.1 - I had said 4.1.2
incorrectly) crashed the machine...

Most people said that OW 3.0 + NP 1.2 was ungood. In fact
NP 1.2 expected OW 2.0 while NP 2.0 needs OW 3.0. Confused
yet? Basically, if you upgrade 1, you have to upgrade the other.

A few other people said the there is a Mystery Chip that has
a flaw and a new Sun supplied MB would fix it.

A bunch of people (some in the other groups) said to apply
  1) the xnews jumbo patch
  2) a particular patch (100622-01)

My mother said that I looked nice, but I should tuck in my shirt.

The consensus here is to try NeWSPrint 2.0 (gets rid of many bugs
anyway) and see if it works. Everyone agrees that 1.2 is kind of
date. Otherwise, try the motherboard swap.
