I asked recently:
> To be more specific, I'm looking for a UPS that would allow my SPARCStation
> and two external disks to ride through power outages of at least a minute.
> A "smart" UPS (i.e. talks to a daemon when batteries are getting low, etc.)
> would be more desireable, but I'm curious how much extra I pay for that.
I received replies from a number of people, some who sent previous summaries
on this exact same subject. Rather than post a lengthy list of responses,
pls just let me summarize and say that the BEST UPS's were the overwhelming
favorites that everyone said just worked. I'll be happy to E-mail the collected
responses to anyone that requests it.

Most people do just this, although a few people have "bulding" UPS service;
must be nice! :-)

Mucho thanx to all that responded - sorry if I missed anyone below.
